Plan.Net Middle East, the 360 degree multi-channel advertising agency and regional subsidiary of German-based Serviceplan Group of Innovative Communications, has bolstered its senior management with a trio of promotions designed to revitalize and deliver further growth for the agency.
With the appointment of a new management team, a younger and more dynamic leadership takes over the directional and operational responsibilities within Plan.Net Middle East, whose client roster includes BMW Group Middle East, Continental Tyres and Takaful Emarat Insurance.
Effective since 1st May 2012, Plan.Net Middle East will be led by Rami Hmadeh in his new capacity as Managing Director. Hmadeh joined the company in July 2009 as a Group Account Director, before becoming Client Servicing Director in 2010, and consequently, General Manager in 2011. Hmadeh takes over from Plan.Net Middle East's Managing Partner, Oliver Zuegel, who takes on a new role and responsibility within the Serviceplan Group to further expand its network and business in the MENA region.
Florian Haller, CEO of Serviceplan Group, said, "Rami is a natural born leader and you can see this in his admirable countenance, especially when under pressure managing big brands in an emerging region. His extensive regional experience and innate understanding of clients' audiences, market and product offering make him the perfect candidate to take the group's business in the MENA region to new heights. I wish him the best of luck."
Commenting on his new appointment, Rami said, "Taking over the role of Managing Director presents a new and exciting opportunity for me, a chance to work even closer with my team and our clients to achieve results that will hopefully set benchmarks in the region. "Creating Relevance," which is Plan.Net's international positioning, therefore, comes into play as we endeavor to utilise new and existing media, as well as emerging technology to shape positive opinions and stir genuine interaction with and among brands and their consumers in the Middle East. Via strategy, design, content and innovation, Plan.Net Middle East will exist to deliver opportunities, nakedly simple ideas and messages that go beyond the norm, with a singular goal in mind - change."
Jan-Philipp Jahn will serve as Rami's sparring partner as Head of Client Servicing, providing exhaustive brand management inputs acquired from six years at Plan.Net in Hamburg, and prior to that, four years of account management experience in leading German agencies, managing B to C brands. Moe Jawhar completes the triad with a promotion of Head of Creatives. With his solid 10 years of advertising experience working with such brands as BMW, Rolls Royce, MINI, CBI Bank and Nakheel, & Avis among others, Moe will be responsible for concept, design, ideation and innovation within Plan.Net Middle East.
These new management assignments are a highly strategic move for both the agency and its client base of multinational companies seeking to bolster and solidify their brand's foothold in the Middle Eastern region.
With the appointment of the new Management Team comes the critical task of winning awards for the Serviceplan Group within the MENA region. Following the group's success at the Cannes Lions 2012, in which it was the most successful German agency, Plan.Net's new leadership's mandate will be to institute fresh perspectives and a new agency philosophy of creating relevance to help deliver client's business targets and at the same time, earn creative accolades for the Dubai-based team.
