New York Festivals Presents the 2015 New York Show Creative Sessions

 

NYF Creative Session Panels Feature AWNY, Hyper Island, Miami Ad School, 2015 Executive Jury Members and Prominent Media Executives

New York Festivals International Advertising Awards®  competition will present the annual New York Show℠ Creative Sessions on Thursday, May 21st at NYIT Auditorium at 1871 Broadway (at 61st Street).

This year’s thought-provoking Creative Sessions offer attendees a glimpse into the future of the advertising industry and provide insights and skills to maneuver this competitive and creative field. 

2015’s Creative Session include an introspective discussion presented by Advertising Women of New York (AWNY) featuring an exploration of 21st Century MAD Women who are changing and challenging the advertising industry on all levels. Creative innovators from the ad world and media will provide an in-depth analysis of social media campaigns that derailed and offer cutting-edge strategies to insure a competitive edge over automation. Join educators and thought-leaders from Hyper Island, Miami Ad School, and the High School for Innovation in Advertising and Media along with creatives from the worlds’ top ad agencies as they examine the evolution of teaching the art of persuasion.

This year NYF plays host to Hyper Island, known world-wide for producing the most coveted digital talent in the ad industry. Hyper Island representatives will present a workshop focusing on the future of customer relationship building and explore the customer-centricity approach.

The 2015 New York Creative Sessions:

10:00AM - 11:00AM - AWNY Presents… Learning from the Mad Women in Creative Who Will Change Our Future

Panelists to date include: Lauren Connolly, Executive Vice President, Executive Creative Director at BBDO New York; Katelyn Johnson, Senior Recruiter - Arnold Worldwide; Rosemarie Ryan, Co-Founder and Co-CEO - co:collective; and Mary Saigh, VP Talent Manager - Kukle, FCB Healthcare.  Moderator - Brian Morrissey, Editor in Chief – Digiday.

11:30AM - 12:30PM - Hactivists, Activists, and Trolls: What happens when the bot fails?

Panelists to date include: Patrick Coffee, Senior Editor - Adweek Blog Network; Sonal Dabral, Chairman / Chief Creative Officer - DDB Mudra Group (India); Graham Lang, Chief Creative Officer - Y&R (South Africa); and Anna Qvennerstedt, Senior Partner / Chairman of the Board / Copywriter - Forsman & Bodenfors (Sweden). Moderator - Michael Schiferl, Executive Vice President - Weber Shandwick.

1:30PM - 2:30PM - Teaching an Ancient Art

Panelists to date include: Kyle Allen, Lead Technology Teacher/Advertising and Work Based Learning Coordinator - The High School for Innovation in Advertising and Media; Duan Evans, International Executive Creative Director - AKQA (UK); Pancho Gonzalez, Co-Founder and Chief Creative Officer – Inbrax (Chile); Pippa Seichrist, Co–Founder / Co-Director, Head of Innovation & Development - Miami Ad School; and Kiely Sweatt, Program Manager, 30 Weeks - Hyper Island.
